Zephyr Engineering's latest product, the ZPCI.3900 MPC190 Security Processor PMC Module, is a high performance encryption/decryption co-processor on a 64-bit 66 MHz PMC card.  Utilizing a Motorola MPC190 security processor, the ZPCI.3900 performs DES encryption/decryption at rates of up to 1.13 Gbps.

The ZPCI.3900 offers system flexibility by easily plugging into any PMC slot.  It can be installed on an SBC, VME, CPCI, PCI or standalone carrier board and is PCI rev 2.2 compliant. 

The ZPCI.3900 module has six public key hardware accelerators, which perform modular exponentiation and elliptic curve computations as well as ordinary integer modulo arithmetic.

Six data encryption standard accelerators support DES and triple-DES in both ECB and CBC modes.  In triple-DES mode, these accelerators support two key or three key processes.

Additional features of the ZPCI.3900 include three message digest execution units and an RC4 compatible stream cipher module. The MDEUs compute hash data using MD4, MD5, or SHA-1 algorithms and also support HMAC computations.  The RC4 compatible stream cipher module helps compute RC4 compatible bulk data encryption with a 40 to 128-bit key.
